The patron sitting in my seat who said hers was F26, and the usher who asked to see her ticket. It was indeed F26—for the dressing circle. I had had 2 glasses of rosé, so I was confident enough to add salt to the social wound: “This is the orchestra.”
The programmer, whose specialty is Asian films, tripping up the stairs at Dry Leaf and falling by my feet. “Are you okay,” a woman behind him asked. “Just embarrassed,” he replied.
